You can't go past the hand-held self-portrait shot for obscuring the scenery you're standing in front of. Trust us, we're at Somerset House with a thousand other people pretending to know how to ice-skate. |
Here's a better one of Somerset House. It's in the heart of London near the Thames and reeks of the charm of a bygone era. Or maybe that's just the Thames. |
Now we're getting arty! Although, from the watery sheen on the ice you can tell that it's been raining, and in fact still was. |
Now imagine disco and 80s music playing - now the lighting makes sense. Hey.. at least it wasn't Christmas carols.
What a difference from skating in Cervinia! Kate doesn't even look cold. |
Staying still to take pictures was a relief (see Andrew's smile). Skating for an hour in the same circular direction can make you a little dizzy.
Now for something completely different. We went to the Camden Market with Lucy. It's got some really pretty sections and interesting shops. |
Next to the Market is a canal with several locks. It would be nice to sit out here on a warm day.
